Police Log: Man Loses Cane on Boston Turnpike

Thursday, Nov. 3:

8:49 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Main Street for a woman with chest pain and difficulty breathing. She was taken to UMass.

10:23 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Francis Gardens Court for a woman who has fallen. She was taken to UMass.

12:33 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a woman with injuries from a fall. She was taken to UMass.

1:48 p.m.: The responded to Jenney Street to speak with an owner about a dog barking. The owner said he will take the dog inside when he starts barking.

1:52 p.m.: The animal control officer responded to Edgemere Boulevard to remove a dead animal.

2:22 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Boston Turnpike. One person was taken to UMass. A report was taken.

4:07 p.m.: A report was taken for a larceny by check on Boston Turnpike.

4:30 p.m.: An illegal dumping was reported on Boston Turnpike.

4:46 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Main Street for a 10-year-old with difficulty breathing. The child was taken to UMass.

5:36 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Bridle Path for a man with difficulty breathing. He was taken to UMass.

6:18 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported on South Quinsigamond Avenue. A report was taken.

7:08 p.m.: Joshua Jones, 21, of 48 Orchard Hill Rd., Oxford, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

8:40 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Overlook Avenue.

11:36 p.m.: A caller reported losing a cane at a business on Boston Turnpike.

11:55 p.m.: Debora J. Harrington, 50, of 127 North St., Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery on ambulance personnel, OUI liquor and resisting arrest. Update, Feb. 2012: the two assault and battery charges and the resisting arrest charge were later dismissed. Harrington was found guilty of the OUI charge.
