Police Log: Naked Jumper, Car Break-ins

Wednesday, Aug. 29

12:19 p.m.: A caller reported a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the area of 351 Grafton St. Police responded and took a report.

1:14 p.m.: Worcester police reported a man with no clothes on was attempting to jump off the bridge near 7 Boston Tpke. Police responded. A witness said the man jumped but swam to shore and got dressed behind the Dumpster. Police were unable to locate the man.

1:21 p.m.: A person went to the to report a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Memorial Drive. Police took a report.

3:01 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash involving a town highway truck was reported in the area of 11 South St.

7:45 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was parked on Hunter Circle in front of a house with a passenger laying in the car. Police reponded and did not find a vehicle matching the description.

8:14 p.m.: A caller reported vandalism to their mailbox on School Street.

Thursday, Aug. 30

1:08 a.m.: Police were requested to check on the well-being of a man who was on probation. Gurdev Singh, 51, of 34 Shrewsbury Green Dr., Apt. C, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. He as also charged on a warrant for a probation violation.

6:55 a.m.: A person went to the Police Department to report breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Pond Avenue. Police took a report.
