St. John's Graduates 243

St. John's Class of 2011 was presented to the world at noon Sunday as young men of Christian value who will help the world become a better place.

Student Activities Council President Andre Souffrant welcomed everyone and took time to thank all of the parents and grandparents for the sacrifices they made for the good of their children and grandchildren.

Ian Meeker, valedictorian, noted that the world needs changing with fuel prices exceeding $4 per gallon and an energy crisis looming on the horizon.

More than 95 percent of St. John's graduates will attend four year colleges; the other 5 percent will attend two-year or preparatory schools.

Alexander Dowd and Benjamin Gowaski received the Xaverian Award, a coveted award given to those who exemplifies Christian ideals and the spirit of the Xaverian brothers. Ian Meeker received the Award for Academic Excellence.
