Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

After meeting twice today, the <a href="https://patch.com/L-hJQw" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Board of Selectmen</a> signed an agreement with the <a href="https://patch.com/L-hJ9P" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union</a> to buy their property on Main Street adjacent to the <a href="https://patch.com/L-hJQh" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Shrewsbury Public Library</a>. The selectmen paid $760,000 for the property, which was approved at a special town meeting earlier this month. "I am pleased that all parties could come together and reach an agreement," said Board of Selectmen Chair Moira Miller after the meeting. "We can now include the sale of the property with the grant application to the state (the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners), which will make it reimbursable by the state."
