Selectmen Approve Agreement to Buy Credit Union
The selectmen met twice today to discuss and vote on the agreement to purchase the Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union property.

After meeting twice today, the Board of Selectmen signed an agreement with the Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union to buy their property on Main Street adjacent to the Shrewsbury Public Library.
The selectmen paid $760,000 for the property, which was approved at a special town meeting earlier this month.
"I am pleased that all parties could come together and reach an agreement," said Board of Selectmen Chair Moira Miller after the meeting. "We can now include the sale of the property with the grant application to the state (the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners), which will make it reimbursable by the state."
