Shrewsbury Among Towns Combining Primary and Local Election

Shrewsbury took advantage of coordinating the two elections.

Shrewsbury is one of the many towns that has voted to change the typical election schedule to combine the local election and the state primary, reported the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

The state primary on April 30 will coincide with the Shrewsbury town election, which was originally scheduled for May 7.

According to the Telegram, Shrewsbury Town Clerk Sandra Wright said that the combining of the two would save the town roughly $10,000 to $12,000.
