Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

With just over 30 percent of registered voters casting ballots, Shrewsbury favored Republican candidate Gabriel Gomez in Tuesday's special election for U.S. Senate. With a town total of 7,183 votes, Gomez received 4,049 while Markey received 3,106, representing 56 percent of the vote for Gomez and 47 percent for Markey. Richard Heos got 14 votes, and there were 14 write-ins. There are 22,530 registered voters in Northborough.
