Shrewsbury Favored Gomez in Senate Election
Markey won, but Shrewsbury voters chose Gomez.

With just over 30 percent of registered voters casting ballots, Shrewsbury favored Republican candidate Gabriel Gomez in Tuesday's special election for U.S. Senate.
With a town total of 7,183 votes, Gomez received 4,049 while Markey received 3,106, representing 56 percent of the vote for Gomez and 47 percent for Markey.
Richard Heos got 14 votes, and there were 14 write-ins.
