Shrewsbury Police: Child Yelling for Help; Drunk Driver Arrest; Road Rage; Attempted Break-In; Assault
The following are excerpts from the Shrewsbury police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Nov. 21
- At 1:10 a.m., police responded to Boston Turnpike. Police arrested James Frey, 26, 74 Boston Ave., Worcester, for OUI, having an open container, speeding
- At 12:18 p.m., a resident on Lake Street complained that trash was blowing into his yard
- At 3:05 p.m., a person from Maple Ave. reported vandalism
- At 3:14 p.m., a car crash happened on Memorial Drive
- At 5:30 p.m., a person reported that a suspicious person followed her. An Asian male in a white Audi, she said, had followed her
Saturday, Nov. 22
- At 1:45 a.m., a resident reported a loose dog on Spring Street. The dog was last seen in the woods off of Main and Spring. Owner is looking for the dog and was advised of location.
- At 10:51 a.m., an anonymous caller reported that she heard a child yelling for help, and an adult male voice yelling, Avalon Way
- At noon, police responded to a report that money was taken from his truck, North Quinsigamond Ave.
- At 1:38 p.m., police responded to an ongoing custody issue between husband and wife
- At 1:28 p.m., police responded to a past road rage argument in a parking lot on Boston Turnpike. The person reported that two men were arguing over erratic operation on South Street prior to arriving at Home Depot.
- At 2:56 p.m., police responded to a shoplifter, 420 Boston Turnpike
- At 6:25 p.m., residents reported that four cars were entered on Shirley Road, but nothing was taken

- At 12:20 p.m., police responded to an attempted B&E at 368 Lake St.
- At 4:22 p.m., police responded to an accident on Boston Turnpike with injuries. One female driver transported to UMass
- At 7:47 p.m., police responded to 28 Sherwood Ave. for a reported assault in progress. Medics called to respond to victim, report taken
