Shrewsbury Police Made 16 Arrests, Responded To 4,000 Incidents In March 2026

Officers in Shrewsbury were busy throughout March, according to the department's newly released monthly activity report.

SHREWSBURY, MA —Shrewsbury police were busy throughout March, according to the department’s newly released monthly activity report.

The Shrewsbury Police Department responded to 3,957 incidents last month, including 823 calls to 911. Officers made 16 arrests and issued 13 criminal summonses.

By comparison, in March 2025, the department handled 4,102 incidents, received 860 911 calls, made 20 arrests and issued 27 criminal summonses.

The police department also responded to 81 accidents or disabled vehicles; received 66 animal complaints; served four arrest warrants and responded to 59 burglary alarm calls, 40 disputes or disturbances, 15 domestic disputes, 15 identity thefts, 24 larcenies and shopliftings.

Officers also received 295 medical calls, two missing persons reports, made 509 motor vehicle stops, responded to 143 suspicious persons, eight threats and assaults, and 38 well-being checks.

Shrewsbury Police also did not make any arrests related to OUI for alcohol or drugs.

The department says its staff remains active around the clock, responding to emergencies, assisting residents and maintaining a proactive presence in the community.

“We’re always stronger working together,” the department wrote in its update, thanking residents for their continued support.
