Spring Street School Transforms into India

An Indian Culture Celebration was held at the school on Saturday.

An Indian Culture Celebration was held at Saturday, featuring activities such as storytelling, board games, cricket, food sampling, Bollywood dancing, and a fashion show.

The festival also included artwork, crafts, and more. As part of the festival, students created soup pots to raise money to help Akshaya Patra, "a non-profit group that feeds the poorest children in India."

Visitors were able to take part in storytelling as well as board games such as chess and carrom, a traditional Indian game. They also could have their photos taken in Indian clothing in front of the "Taj Mahal," taste Indian foods, and watch a dance exhibition as well as a fashion show.
