Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Get raking, y'all. The spring 2013 Leaves, Grass and Yard Waste Pick-Up Program takes place in the spring, as the name would imply. It's also when you can have these materials picked up, as you probably surmised as well. Right along with your rubbish pick-up, leave out leaves, grass and other yard waste, too, during collection days within these dates: May 13 through May 14 Leaves and grass must be in the brown 30 gallon paper bags and lined up at the curb-side by 7 a.m. Smaller bundled branches will be picked up if they are:     <ul> <li>Cut into 4 foot lengths</li> <li>No larger than 3 inches in diameter</li> <li>Securely tied into bundles</li> </ul>
