Stanley Cup Comes to Shrewsbury Fire Station
After a great victory, the Shrewsbury firefighters got a chance to check out the Stanley Cup in person.

The got a special treat last night when the Stanley Cup arrived at 8:30 p.m. thanks to a firefighter's tweet.
"There was a call out on Twitter for where people wanted the Stanley Cup to come," said Shrewsbury Firefighter Brendan Palumbo. "I'm not on Twitter--I don't even know how to do it, but Adam Towner, who is on Twitter, suggested the Shrewsbury Fire Department."
The only problem, no one, but Palumbo was at the station last night at 8:30 p.m. because everyone else was out on a fire call.

"They don't give you any notice," he said. "And they're supposed to only stay 15-20 minutes, but they stayed longer to wait for the guys to come back."
When asked if the Stanley Cup was heavy, Palumbo said the Stanley Cup Handler wouldn't let you lift it.

"He stayed pretty close and he keeps the cup in the back his SUV with lots of Boston Bruins embems on in it," said Palumbo who is a huge fan.
When asked if he kissed the cup, he said, laughing, "I didn't, but about three or four other guys did--it was great."
