Summer Reading Registration Now Open
With the summer almost upon us, it's time to start reading in the summer.

Many of the local schools are encouraging their students to keep up with their reading in the summer.
All year, students have worked hard to become proficient in reading and they can lose a lot of their skills if they don't continue reading in the summer.

The kickoff event for the library's summer reading program is on Thursday, June 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. There will be games, a caricature artist, face painting and even an antiques appraiser for the first 20 adults that come in.

Throughout the summer, there will be scheduled events and prizes given away for the amount of time or the number of books read through the library.
