Superintendent Announces School Will Open Tomorrow
Despite the storm, the first day of school is scheduled for Tuesday.

Press release sent to all parents:
Dear Shrewsbury Families,
We are fortunate that Irene spared us her worst and, thanks to the excellent work of our Town Departments and our electric company, SELCO, we are prepared to open school on schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30.

Please note the following important information:
• We ask that all parents who have students riding the bus check the bus route information in PowerSchool again today, as several changes have been made due to late registrations, route updates, etc. To check your child's bus information, log in to the Parent Portal using the same username and password you created when you registered your child for transportation by clicking on this link.

If you do not remember your username or password, please click on the link titled "Having trouble logging in?" on this login page. For information on how to create an account if you have yet to do so, go to this website.
• If you believe there is an error in your registration information or have a question about your child's transportation, please e-mail busreg@shrewsbury.k12.ma.us. Please do not contact the bus company.
• Students who have yet to register as of now will not be able to ride the bus until the registration has been processed, which may take several days; families in this situation must make other arrangements in the meantime. Please remember that families who register now owe a $50 late fee per student ($100 max.) unless they moved in after June 1, regardless of whether the transportation fee itself applies.
• Please be reminded that there are no physical bus passes this year. Drivers and school personnel will keep rosters of students who are eligible; audits will be completed periodically to ensure that only students who are registered are riding the bus.
• Only preschool students who qualify due to a disability are eligible for transportation.
• Sherwood and Oak Middle School families, please remember that parent pick up and drop off is from Crescent Street for Sherwood MS and from Oak St. for Oak MS - see map and FAQs here.
Please accept my best wishes for a great school year!
Respectfully,
Joe Sawyer
