Teens Nabbed for String of Car Breaks
Police suspect the youngsters of stealing from multiple vehicles on and around Grafton Street.

on Wednesday morning arrested two juveniles in connection with a string of car break-ins in the Grafton Street area.
Police were dispatched at 5:54 a.m. today, Aug. 29, to 469 Grafton St. for a report of a motor vehicle break-in. The crime was reportedly still in progress, according to a press release. Upon arrival, Shrewsbury officers discovered two youths who they said had broken into a car.
Officer Timothy Charland and Officer Adam Cameron investigated and confirmed the two juveniles had broken into the victim’s car, as well as eight vehicles in the area.

Items taken from the vehicles included GPS units, sunglasses, electronics, cash and other assorted items. Shrewsbury Police are working on returning items to victims. All the other cars that broken into were in the same vicinity of Grafton Street where the suspects were arrested.
The two youths were arrested and charged with seven counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and one count of receiving stolen property over $250. Both suspects were released to their parents and will be arraigned at Worcester Juvenile Court at a later date.
