10 Historic Homes to Be Honored Thursday
The annual Somerville Preservation Awards ceremony will also honor Tufts University for its good stewardship of four Somerville buildings.

The Somerville Historic Preservation Commission will honor 10 homes Thursday night at the 2013 Somerville Preservation Awards ceremony.
17-19R Aldersey St., 28 Beacon St., 91 Boston St. and 237 School St. will receive Preservation Awards, given to buildings that are officially designated historic properties.
In addition, 72 Alpine St., 42 Browning Rd., 67 Church St., 4 Jerome St., 33 Moore St. and 46 Quincy St. will receive Director's Awards, which are given to older homes that aren't officially designated historic properties.

Tufts University will receive the Good Stewardship Award for their maintenance of four historic buildings: 503 Boston Ave., 8 Professor's Row, 92 Professor's Row and 169 Holland St.
The awards honor owners who conduct preservation work to the exterior of their historically designated and older homes.

The awards ceremony takes place at 6:30 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.
