SOMERVILLE, MA — Police found a man with autism who went missing from a group home after searching for him for hours Sunday evening.

The 22-year-old man was reported missing from East Albion Street early Sunday afternoon. He was wearing a tracking device that was able to be picked up by a state police Air Wing helicopter.

The crew narrowed down his location to the AutoZone on Washington Street, where the man was reported to have been before running off. A state trooper then used a handheld tracking device linked to the Air Wing, eventually tracking down the man in Union Square Smoke Shop around 9 p.m.
