Assaults, Break-ins, And Threats: Somerville Crime Log
The following events were reported to Somerville police recently.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The following reports were received by Somerville Police between Tuesday, April 7 and Saturday, April 11.
Tuesday, April 7
5:44 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a residential breaking and entering. The property owner told police that a group of people had broken into the laundry room and began smoking.

7:09 p.m. — Police received a report of an assault from a parent who said their daughter was attacked by a group of juvenile girls at Walnut Park near Union Square.
Wednesday, April 8

2:36 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence. The resident said someone broke into his bedroom and stole prescription medicine while he was at work.
Thursday, April 9
2:40 a.m. — Police responded to a business on Holland Street after an alarm sounded. The owner told police that a man broke down the door and stole money from the cash register.
Saturday, April 11
8:10 p.m. — Police responded to a report of threats on Broadway. A woman told officers that she was approached by a group of men while walking toward Foss Park. One of the men reportedly brandished a knife and threatened to kill her. Officers soon located the group and discovered they were juveniles. The one who made the threats was arrested.
11:42 p.m. — Police responded to a report of breaking and entering at a residence on Evergreen Avenue. Residents told officers that they heard a sound and saw the front door open and that a laptop and bicycle were missing. The laptop was quickly recovered on Marshall Street.
Other crimes that were logged by police throughout that week include three motor vehicle vandalisms, one regular count of vandalism, one auto theft, and one package theft.
