Body Discovered In Somerville’s Davis Square
Officers were on the scene in front of J.P Licks at 4 College Avenue just after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A body was discovered Wednesday morning in Davis Square, reported Cambridge Day.
Police and city officials have not yet commented on the death, but it was discussed at length on Davis Square’s Facebook group.
Officers were on the scene in front of J.P Licks at 4 College Avenue just after 8 a.m., at which time the body was already covered with a sheet and the area was taped off.

Residents commenting on social media were convinced that the death was caused by an overdose, but there is no proof of that claim at this time.
The Somerville Police Department said the death is not suspicious and was likely a medical issue, but they are not releasing additional information at this time.
