Boston Breakers Move onto Semifinals
The Somerville-based women's soccer team earned a regular season title and took home the most wins in franchise history.

The defeated the Western New York Flash 1-0 Sunday and will play in the Women's Premier Soccer League Elite semifinals on July 25, according to an announcement from the team.
With their win against the Flash, the Breakers finished the regular season with a record of 11-3-0, which earned them the top spot in the league and the regular season title in the WPSL Elite, the announcement says.
The Boston Breakers, a top-flight women's soccer team, play home games at in Somerville.

The Breakers' 11 wins are the most in franchise history, the announcement says.
According to the announcement, Sunday's win, at a game played in Rochester, N.Y., came when defender Elli Reed scored in the 22nd minute off a corner kick. Keeper Alice Binns made 10 saves in the win, the announcement says.

The Breakers will play the Chicago Red Stars Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester.
The Flash will play the New York Fury in the league's other semifinal game.
The winners of those games will move onto the finals in the WPSL Elite, which will be held July 28 at 1 p.m., also at Sahlen's Stadium.
