Co-Owner Of Somerville Restaurant Bringing Sushi To Fenway
The new sushi joint on Fenway's "restaurant row" is eyeing an October opening date.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The co-owner behind a Union Square sushi restaurant is bringing an eatery with similar flair to Fenway, according to Eater Boston. Jose Garcia, who owns Ebi Sushi on Somerville Avenue with his uncle, is behind the upcoming Sushi Kappo on Fenway's "restaurant row."
Garcia will be the sole owner of Sushi Kappo. He told Eater the menu will be very similar to that of Ebi Sushi's, and it will use the same fish distributors. Sushi Kappo will be a bit smaller than its cousin in Union Square, with a focus on takeout dining, Eater reported.
Garcia also co-owns Sapporo Ramen inside H Mart in Cambridge. His newest venture is expected to open at 86 Peterborough Street on Oct. 1.
