Eat At Jumbo's Reopens With New Menu, Name
The longtime Ball Square pizza and sub shop underwent some major changes.
SOMERVILLE, MA – Popular Somerville pizza and sub shop Eat At Jumbo's has reopened with a new name and menu. The Ball Square eatery recently underwent renovations and has been rebranded as Sassafras Somerville.
A Facebook group for Sassafras Somerville says it is "born out of the ashes at Eat at Jumbo's" and is now completely meat-free. The restaurant previously offered vegetarian and vegan options and will add more meat-free dishes to its menu.
Sassafras is now open for weeknight dinner and weekend brunch, according to Eater. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday.
