17th-century Dutch Music at Somerville Museum

The Somerville Museum continues its twenty-third season of Early Music Afternoons on Sunday, March 4, when Hendrik Broekman, harpsichord; Olav Chris Henriksen, lute, cittern & Baroque guitar; and Carol Lewis, viola da gamba present The Sounds of Vermeer: 17th-century Instrumental Music from the Netherlands.  This program highlights dances, fantasias, popular songs and psalm tunes by such composers as by Schop, Sweelinck, Schildt, Schenck, van den Hove and others. 

An informal reception follows the concert.
