From the Center for Arts at the Armory:
Annalise Emerick is a gypsy, a poet of the people. Her music is an intimate snapshot of society. Annalise rolled into Boston with an acoustic guitar and a cache of catchy melodies in the Fall of 2011 and was soon playing area coffee houses and indie haunts. Starry-Eyed, Emerick’s debut EP reached #9 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts on its first day. Chelsea Berry is a singer/songwriter with edge, power, and finesse. Her presence has been described as “compelling… she draws the entire house into her world like moths to a flame.” Her vocals are controlled, smooth, and intensely powerful and her lyrics are reminiscent of the folk music of the sixties.
