Artist Reflects on Dancing to Mozart's 'Requiem'

From a post by "beryelle" on the Somerville Arts Council's daily newsletter:

Last February, Choreographer Nicole Pierce and her dance-theater company EgoArt, Inc. <http://www.egoartinc.com> performed "REQUIEM," a full-length multimedia dance piece at the historic Cyclorama at Boston Center for the Arts in Boston's South End. The performance marked over 2 years of research, rehearsal and development. With a
background in classical piano, dance and multimedia, Pierce will present her unique process for creating this work including listening to samples of various recordings, a brief review of the history of the Requiem itself (unfinished at the time of Mozart's death) and video excerpts from the performance. A notable and engaging public speaker,
Nicole Pierce will amuse the eyes and ears of music and dance lovers as well as children and adults alike.
