The newly refurbished Davis Square Theater in Somerville is opening with laughter with new owners David Flanagan and Ken Kelly hosting a week of the Boston Comedy Festival, now in it’s 12th year.
The Festival will kick off with the 'Funniest Media Personality' Show on Saturday, November 5th, starring top media personalities from the Boston area, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

The Boston Comedy Festival Comedy Contest attracts contestants from around the world, vying for $10,000, the biggest comedy competition purse in America ten years running, and a chance to be seen by top managers, agents and talent scouts in the entertainment industry.
The week's festivities will end with a bang with two big shows, starring two of the biggest names in comedy. The 8 PM show features Andy Kindler from Last Comic Standing, Late Show with David Letterman and Everyone Loves Raymond.

The 10 PM show features 'World Champion' Judah Friedlander who play’s 'Frank Rossitano' on the Emmy-winning 30 Rock every week night in syndication and on Comedy Central, as well as in new episodes every Thursday night on NBC. Judah has made multiple hilarious appearances on many late night talk shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon & The Daily Show.
