
Join fans of Somerville's local history to hear historian, Michael Bonislawski talk about the men from Charlestown (aka Somerville) who formed the Colonial "Rabble Militia" of June 1775. How did they become the formidable fighting force that caused the most powerful military on earth to evacuate Boston only nine months later?
Dr. Bonislawski is an Assistant Professor of American History at Salem State College. In his spare time, he is Adjutant Lieutenant Field Commander of the living history group, Gardner's Regiment of Charlestown. He is particularly interested in researching the lives of the men who formed the original company.
