The Somerville Museum continues its twenty-third season of Early Music Afternoons on Sunday, April 15, when the El Dorado Ensemble (Carol Lewis, Janet Haas, Mai-Lan Broekman, Paul Johnson & Alice Mroszczyk, violas da gamba; Olav Chris Henriksen, archlute & theorbo), presents Capricious Italians: a 17th-century Musical Journey. The concert features music by Italian musicians who traveled to Austria and Poland, as well as Polish and Austrian musicians who made their way to Italy, highlighting works by Ferro, Neri, Farina, Waesich, Cato, Kapsberger & others.
An informal reception follows the concert.
