New Year's Eve Closing Event for "My Blue Heaven"

Begin to begin your New Year's Eve celebrations, meditations, ministrations, and ruminations in an artful and tasty way at the Washington Street Art Center, December 31, from 2–5 p.m.!

Gretchen Ann Graham will be closing her photography exhibit, 'My Blue Heaven,' for 2011 at Gallery 321 to the music of Wanda Jackson, Etta James, and variations of the song she borrowed for her show title. Light fare and beverages will be on hand, as will Nature Prints' nontoxic cyanotype paper and water, for your art-making pleasure (sunshine willing!) 'My Blue Heaven' features film-based color and black & white photographs spanning quite a bit of time, illustrating themes of solitude and connection.

It is Graham's offering to a better year ahead, to everyone who is leaving this year to their respective Fourth watches, and to those who have been her silver lining in a difficult year. The color prints are made from transparency film (some of which are no longer in production) and the silver gelatin prints were made in WSAC's darkroom.
