This brand-new DFP tasting will feature the famous fortified wines of Jerez, Spain, known as sherries. Aged in a method known as the solera system, sherries can range from bone-dry and refreshing to quite sweet and are wonderful food-wines. From the lightest, driest Fino-style, to dessert-style cream and moscatel grape-based sherries, these iconic wines are steeped in history and tradition, pairing delightfully with salty, fatty and crispy tapas or enjoyed on their own. Our friend and distributor of fine sherries, Martin Langer, of OZ Wine Company, will join us for this illuminating, whirlwind tour of Jerez, Spain!
