Celebrate Somerville's artists at a reception at the Somerville Museum. The Somerville Open Studios Artist Choice Show will run from April 20 to May 18 at the museum.
Meanwhile, Somerville Open Studios will happen across the city May 5 and 6 from noon to 6 p.m.
During the event, visual artists working in every discipline of the fine arts and crafts media—painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, fiber, clay, glass, furniture and jewelry open their studios for the art-loving public. Visitors can view the art made within the community, interact with local artists, and see artists' working spaces for free.

SOS broadens the public's exposure to finished works of art and encourages a deeper appreciation of the art-making process. This exposure both educates the community and raises awareness of the contribution that artists make to daily life in Somerville.
In recent years, more than 350 artists have participated in this event at more than 100 sites.
