...Gregory Ferreira and Friends Present...
The Suitcase Album LIVE at Porch Fest Somerville!
The Suitcase Album is a tale of two cities, the product of Gregory Ferreira's Fung Wah travels from New York to Boston every week over the course of a year.
Inspired by the intellectual and artist ingenuity of Harry Nilsson, and the concept of making everywhere you go a recording studio and everyone you know is a musician, Greggy began knocking doors asking friends to lay down tracks in venues ranging from loft studios in Brooklyn to living room corners in Somerville.
Join us at Porch Fest where a wily cast of characters will join Greggy (The Silent Goodbye, The Chainletter, Missing Ships) to showcase the album.
Participants include:
Jon Keane - former Battleships Cometh guitarist
Barry Clegg - drummer and video editor extraordinaire
Alana Sacks - formerly of Jeddo Stars and current Poor Everybody front woman
Ajda the Turkish Queen - of Black Fortress of Opium fresh off the stage from her "Stratospherical" record release
Mimi, Nick Colvin and Matt La Von of Missing Ships
The ever debonair tattoo and visual artist Sky Winchester is providing the digs at 24 School Street.
Meaghan Q. Sinclair and Harmony Dawn of Booze Époque will be providing family friendly refreshments in the front and boutique cocktails in back.
This show is a day time FREE show not to be missed!
