Wild Tales Goes to the Farm!

What is an urban farm? Why do people have farms in cities? Why grow an edible garden and who eats it? Can animals live in urban farms? What kinds?

Kids will answer these questions and many more as we play games, learn traditional songs and dances, study chickens and bees, and meet people who grow edible landscapes and vegetable gardens.

WHO:
Kids 6-12

WHEN:
Wednesdays, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., March-June

WHAT:
Session 1: March 2-23
Learn about urban farming and edible landscaping through games, song & dance, and group discussion.
Session 1 will take place at the Central Library.

Session 2: April 6-27
Take what we learned in Session 1 and write an original story and songs for our musical.
Session 2 will take place at the Central Library.

Session 3: May 4-25
Stage and rehearse the musical we wrote in Session 2 in a beautiful garden.
Session 3 will take place at the Growing Center, 22 Vinal Ave.

Performance: June 18
The performance will take place at the Growing Center, 22 Vinal Ave.
