Known as the "foodie's paradise" of Italy, Piemonte is also home to big, expressive reds from Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba and Asti. Among five Piemontese wines, we will sample some based on the Nebbiolo grape, which makes age-worthy reds full of grace and power. Robust mountain cheeses, mushroom dishes and roasted meats are typical of the regional cuisine. Stephen Malarick, "The Man" at Martignetti Companies, will lead us through a tasty progression of fine Italian wines.
