Last workshop for 2011 - Let your inner artist come out and explore the creativity within you at my studio during this informal & exploratory session for adults of all levels and hats. Roll up your sleeves, cut, paste, rip, glue, stitch, draw, paint and explore the many possibilities and wonderful experience of making collage. Feel free to bring your own projects and ideas to work on (the holidays are coming, consider making your own holiday cards, gifts & ornament)! I will be on hand with exercises, assignments, guidance, feedback and will have collage books to peruse & inspire.
Please bring a base from which to work such as a scrap book, heavy watercolor or Bristol paper, a piece of wood, gesso panel, small canvas, cigar box, etc. You should also bring a comfortable pair of scissors, exacto knife and Avery glue stick(s). I will supply wet adhesive, gesso, acrylics and sandpapers as well as some materials to use. As collage is as unique and personal as the artist that creates them, I ask that you bring your own materials. Everything from paper ephemera, wood scraps, souvenirs, mementos, found objects, to textiles … anything that you have saved, waiting for the opportunity to finally put to use but weren’t sure how.
