The Boston man was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 14.

A Boston man shouted “anti-lesbian remarks” at two women Tuesday evening, Oct. 14, in Davis Square’s Statue Park, according to Somerville Police.
Edwin Grossett, of 698 Mass. Ave., Boston, was arrested at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday and charged with disturbing the peace.
An officer allegedly spotted Grossett in a verbal altercation with the women and overheard the offensive comments. After the officer separated the parties and the women walked away, Grossett continued after them and continued verbally assaulting them, police said. At that time, one of the women threw ice cream at Grossett, and police then arrested Grossett and charged him with disturbing the peace.
