MidiCi Pizza Gets Assembly Row Opening Date
The Neapolitan pizza chain is bringing its first New England location to Somerville.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Neapolitan pizza chain MidiCi will open in Somerville next year, the company announced Wednesday. MidiCi's first New England restaurant at Assembly Row has set an official opening date for Thursday, Jan. 11. The restaurant will give away free Margherita pizzas, one per guest, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. to celebrate its grand opening.
The following day, 20 percent of all sales will be donated to the Somerville High School Culinary Arts Program and Somerville Homeless Coalition. MidiCi will also offer free Margherita pizzas to children 12 and under – with a paying adult – on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
MidiCi's menu offers traditional and signature menu options, as well as personalized Napolitan pizzas, baked in an open kitchen format known as "the Heart." Acclaimed Los Angeles-based restauranteur Peppe Miele and Mario Vollera, both Italian natives and renowned Neapolitan pizza chefs, created the menu with authentic dishes and drinks – from artisan burratas and traditional pizzas to craft beers, fine wines and cocktails – to "ensure a complete Neapolitan pizza experience."
