New Latin Fusion Restaurant, with Breakfast Menu, Comes to Somerville

The people behind Union Square's Machu Picchu have opened a new restaurant on Beacon Street, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

The owners of , a popular Union Square Peruvian restaurant, have opened a new establishment, Mixtura, on Beacon Street, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

Mixtura, at 300 Beacon St., not too far from Porter Square, features a Peruvian and Latin fusion menu.

According to the restaurant's website, it serves a "delicious blend of traditional breakfast dishes as well as creative dishes that mix Peruvian, Salvadorian, and Mexican ingredients." It also serves "natural healthy juices."

For Somerville Patch, the Latin breakfast menu is particularly exciting. The menu features huevos rancheros, huevos con chorizo and a variety of tasty-looking omelets. These are dishes one couldn't find easily in Boston even a decade ago.
