New Somerville Cocktail Bar Nears Opening

SOMERVILLE, MA — A new cocktail bar is opening soon the former Juice Union space in Union Square. Barra, a "cousin" of popular Peruvian restaurant Celeste, was announced last summer. Fans of Celeste won't have to go far – Barra is opening two doors down.

According to Eater, Barra is gearing up to open. It will have seating for 12, as well as six seats apiece along the bar and counter. The menu will include dishes influenced by Mexican street food, craft beers, natural wines and Latin American spirits and cocktails.

Barra is located at 21 Bow St.
