North End Restauranteurs Opening Assembly Row Spot

SOMERVILLE, MA – The team behind a North End restaurant that closed in 2016 is bringing a new Italian eatery to Assembly Row. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, the people behind Carmen's Trattoria are opening La Cucina Italian Eatery.

Last year it was reported they were opening a restaurant called Carmen's Trattoria & Italian Pub at 521 Assembly Row. The planned space would seat nearly 120 guests and serve Italian-style pub fare like flatbreads and chicken wings and plenty of cocktail, wine and beer options.

Plans to reopen Carmen's fell through earlier this year, though Boston Restaurant Talk confirmed the same team is behind La Cucina. The nearly 6,000-square-foot space will be located at the corner of Foley Street and Assembly Row.
