Pop-Up Café Coming to Somerville's Aeronaut Brewing Company

SOMERVILLE, MA – A pop-up café is coming Sundays to Aeronaut Brewing Company in Somerville. The concept, called Hikōki, will serve coffee pour-overs, imported teas and drinking chocolate, according to Boston Magazine.

Hikōki will debut next month, operating solely on Sunday afternoon to start. It pairs non-alcoholic beverages with pastries baked by Alexandra Whisnant of Gaté Comme des Filles, one of the producers of the venture. Bobby MacLean of Compliments Food Co. is also involved in the project.

Boston Magazine reports the dual brewery-café is becoming a trend in the Somerville and Cambridge area, with Aeronaut Brewing Company joining Winter Hill Brewing Company and Longfellows Coffee at Lamplighter Brewing in launching similar concepts.
