1 Dead After Deer Flies Into Windshield in Weston

The deer was hit by another car and thrown into the windshield of the victim's minivan.

WESTON, MA – A man died Wednesday after a deer flew into the windshield of his minivan in Weston, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said. Weston police were called to Wellesley Street around 5:25 p.m. Wednesday evening for a report of two cars hitting a deer in the Newton Street area.

Authorities believe a sedan traveling southbound on Wellesley Street struck the deer, which was then thrown into the northbound lane, where it struck the windshield of a minivan.

The occupants of the first car were not injured, according to the DA's office. The driver of the second car, a man in his 70s who was by himself, was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He later died from his injuries, the DA said.
