Fake MA License Plate Can't Fool Police
Hopkinton PD's first rule for making fake license plates: don't do it. But if you do, make it better than this.
HOPKINTON, MA – Thinking of slapping a fake license plate on your car? Don't do it, police in Hopkinton warn. The department posted a picture on Facebook of a Buick's license plate after pulling over the driver Sunday.
The car's plate had the word "Mass" written on it with the number 2JY728. But it was done in magic marker on cardboard from a pizza box, according to police.
The creative driver was charged with operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and attaching fake plates.
