SCATV teaches Video Game Design Class

In this three session class, students will learn to use SCRATCH software to create interactive art, stories, simulations, and games.

COMPUTER GAME DESIGN CLASS FOR KIDS


In this three session class, students will learn to use SCRATCH software to create interactive art, stories, simulations, and games. They will be able to share those creations online. The class is for students ages 9 to 14 who want to learn basic game design. They will work in the SCATV computer classroom on Apple computers. Instructor Seth Alter is the head of Subaltern Games, a five-person indie game development team in Cambridge that makes educational games. He has experience teaching middle school students and youth since 2005.

The class will meet on Wednesdays, October 8, 15, 22 from 4:00 to 5:30pm at SCATV. Fee: $50.
