Somerville Bar Gets New Owner: Report

SOMERVILLE, MA – A prominent Somerville bar may be coming under new ownership, but its name and feel will remain the same.

Boston Eater reports that Bob Antonelli, owner of On the Hill Tavern, has his sights set on retirement and recently transferred ownership of the bar to the Callan Hospitality Corp.

That group is led by Patrick Grace, former owner of the now-shuttered Boston watering hole The Littlest Bar, according to Boston Eater.

But in speaking to Boston Eater, Antonelli assured fans that the bar will "retain its name and concept."

On the Hill Tavern rose to prominence last year when it was featured in the Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson movie "Central Intelligence." Both stars were in Somerville shooting scenes for the film, which was released earlier this year.
