Somerville Bar Owner Featured In GQ

SOMERVILLE, MA – GQ Magazine has the style market cornered, but even it needs help sometimes keeping up on what's hip. So when it set out to rank the best bars in greater Boston, GQ sought the help of – who else? – a local bar owner.

Enter Sam Treadway, co-owner of backbar in Somerville's Union Square. Treadway took GQ writer Oset Babur to his favorite late-night spots to grab a bite or a drink in Boston, Somerville and Cambridge.

In no particular order, Treadway highlighted Eastern Standard in Kenmore, Hojoko near Fenway, the one-two punch of Drink and Tavern Road on Congress Street, State Park in Kendall Square, fellow Union Square bar The Independent and Downtown Crossing hotspots Yvonne's and Ruka.
