Somerville Bread Company to Expand Into Boston

The bread artisans will open another location at the Boston Public Market next week.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Just like its product, Somerville Bread Company is expanding.

And not just anywhere -- to the Boston Public Market. On October 18, the small batch bakery will open another location in the world-famous Boston hotspot.

For years, Somerville Bread Company has provided organic artisan bread and bread products to restaurants, cafes and gourmet groceries around the Somerville and Boston areas, but this is the bakery's first permanent market location.

"Somerville Bread Company started out in Boston-area farmers’ markets, and many of our current customers at our storefront in Somerville first discovered us in a market," Nick Robertson, owner of Somerville Bread Company, said in a statement. "I’m thrilled to be taking Somerville Bread Company into a permanent market consistent with our values of locally-sourced organic food and community connectedness."

Somerville Bread Company offers a revolving variety of organic breads and bread products, including baguettes, sourdough, focaccia, pita, potato rolls, rye, sesame, quarkbrot, bread pudding and more. Its market location will also include a stone mill to provide customers with fresh flour.
