Somerville Farmers Market Season Begins in Davis Square
The Davis Square Farmers Market kicked off its 2012 season in Davis Square Wednesday. Markets in Union Square will begin in June.
Summer farmers market season in Somerville began Wednesday as the opened for the 2012 season.
The market runs every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and it closes for the 2012 season after Nov. 21. The market is at Day and Herbert streets.
As the Davis Square Farmers Market inaugurates the 2012 summer season, the , held Saturdays in the , comes to a close after May 26.

This year, there's a new market in Union Square. , a local wine, cheese, bread and specialty food gourmet market, will run every Thursday night beginning on June 14.
