Somerville Local First To Host Candidate Meet-And-Greet

Come meet the candidates for mayor, the Board of Aldermen and the School Committee Sept. 12.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Somerville Local First will host a candidate meet-and-greet on Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 6-9 p.m. Members of the public, as well as all candidates for political office – both opposed and unopposed – are invited. The event will be held at Workbar Union, 31 Union Square. Light refreshments will be served.

This year's election includes races for mayor, ward alderman, alderman-at-large and the school committee. There will be a short speaking portion at 7:30 p.m. where candidates will be introduced.

Candidates will engage in face-to-face conversations with attendees, rather than address the crowd. The event is free to attend, but Somerville Local First is asking for a $10 donation. To ensure space and food, attendees are asked to RSVP by emailing Courtney@SomervilleLocalFirst.org.
