Somerville Olympics Happening Thursday

Somerville is hosting it's own local Olympics Thursday, according to an email from the , which is sponsoring the athletic event.

Here's a slightly edited version of what the Chamber of Commerce sent:

Somerville Olympics 

When: Thursday July 26th 2012 (rain date: August 3rd)

Athletes & Volunteers to arrive @ 5pm

Where: Trum Field Broadway Somerville

Details: Sunsetter performers open at 5:30pm

Opening ceremonies commence at 6:00pm

This fun evening includes a parade led by the Sheriffs Department and Somerville Fire & Police Guards. Olympic flame ceremony with team track & field events followed by awards.
