Somerville Resident Recalls Close Encounter With Home Intruder: Report
The incident occurred at the beginning of the month.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A resident recounted an encounter she had with a home intruder recently, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.
Lisa Bastille remembered hearing loud banging noises outside her residence on Adams Street at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Monday, March 2. After going to investigate the noise, she said she saw a white man with blonde hair and tattoos looking “dishelved.” The door behind him was off its hinges and knocked down as a result of him kicking it in.
The man claimed he was meeting people at the residence, however Bastille expressed her disbelief and told him to leave immediately and that she was calling the police. According to Bastille, he then went around to the backyard where Bastille’s spouse once again told him to leave. He was caught on surveillance footage fleeing the premises at 1:51 a.m. shortly before authorities arrived. Bastille expressed relief that the incident did not result in violence toward her and her loved ones.
